Description
Saluting the proud and brave Americans who, a half-century ago, served the cause of freedom in the Vietnam War – from the first Special Forces arrival in 1962 to the last helicopter out in 1975. Their patriotic service inspired countless future generations of military men and women through the courage and resolve they demonstrated in Southeast Asia.
For over 50 years we have told the stories of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who bravely entered the struggle to prevent communist aggression and liberate the people of South Vietnam. These heroes were bound together by a common enemy, fate, topography, and politics. Now, as part of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, Vietnam Veterans and commemorative partners alike can carry this meticulously crafted coin as a firm reminder of services given for our country.
Minted from solid brass in high relief with an antique patina added detail, this coin honors the men and women who proudly served in the Vietnam War. The obverse features the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration Seal, hand enameled, with an eagle watching overall. The reverse, depicting a scene from the Vietnam countryside and the Vietnam War Service Ribbon, is engravable, suitable for names, duty dates, or special remembrances.
