Description
This special coin salutes the proud and brave Americans who served the cause of freedom in the Vietnam War – from the first Special Forces arrival in 1962 to the last helicopter out in 1975. Their patriotic service inspired countless future generations of military men and women through the courage and resolve they demonstrated in Southeast Asia.
Many of those who saw combat are now members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, which continues to avidly support the men and women who served in Vietnam. Now those who belong to this elite club called Vietnam Veterans can carry this meticulously crafted medallion as a firm reminder of your proud service to your country and the organization that stands with you.
Minted in the USA from solid bronze, using special deep-relief coining dies, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail, this coin honors every member of the VFW who proudly served in the Vietnam War. The obverse features the seal of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The reverse, depicting a scene from the Vietnam countryside and the Vietnam War Service Ribbon, is engravable, suitable for names, duty dates, or special remembrances.
