Description
The US Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy has shaped elite non-commissioned mariners into highly-skilled and decisive Chief Petty Officers since 1982. Originally created to provide leadership training to the Coast Guard’s senior enlisted personnel, the Academy’s mission changed in 1986 to provide the superior levels of professional growth and training expected of newly advanced Chief Petty Officers.
Minted in a brass alloy, this coin contains rich enamel accents on both sides.
Each coin measures 1 3/4 inch (44mm) in diameter.
