Description
Whether you reached the summit or simply wish to preserve the memory of your journey along the verdant and majestic Olympic Mountain Range, this Mount Olympus hiking stick medallion is the ideal way to commemorate your travels for all to see. In eye-catching metal, this hiking stick medallion will be an enduring Mount Olympus keepsake, gift, or souvenir.
Standing at 7,969 feet, Mount Olympus is the highest peak in Washington State’s majestic Olympic Range, and at the heart of the Olympic National Park.
Located in close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, this sizable mountain is capped with three summit peaks that rise above the vast scenic beauty of Olympic National Park. Mount Olympus contains eight glaciers that extend down from its summit as well as several ice fields above 5,000 feet. Although ascents are often made difficult by low visibility and other weather-related factors, climbers with basic glacier travel skills routinely reach the summit. The normal approach is via a trail along the Hoh River to the Glacier Meadows Camp site.
The medallion depicts an image of Mount Olympus piercing the Washington sky.
Each medallion has a curved shape and comes with two brass nails to ensure it can be quickly and easily secured to any hiking staff.
Minted in a brass alloy, this commemorative hiking stick is given an antique finish.
