Great as a gift, to celebrate a trip or to just hold as a lasting reminder of your experience in America’s great outdoors, this splash-minted National Parks medallion will be a timeless keepsake that you will treasure forever.

Located in Northern Minnesota and established in 1971, Voyageurs National Park is defined by the mesmerizing waters that surround it. As primary access to the park is via water, canoeists, kayakers, fishing enthusiasts and adventurers flock to the waterways of the park to enjoy its beautiful and remote landscape.

Kettle Falls

The medallion’s obverse shows a group of voyageurs, the legendary seventeenth and eighteenth century French-Canadians who were hired to transport trade goods to Indians and trappers and bring furs back to the trading posts, traversing the park in a birch bark “North canoe”, typically made by Ojibwe Indians. The reverse shows a beaver, a resident of the park and the primary source of pelts in the days of the voyageurs, doing his own work on a tree.

Each coin measures 1 1/2 inch (38.1mm) in diameter.
