Description

Originating from the U.S. Army’s specialized air combat units, the modern Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) was founded in 1990.

Executing its unique mission to serve as a rapid-response expeditionary force, the AFSOC has a proven track record for outstanding performance. Commanding a streamlined fleet of more than 100 fixed wing and rotary aircraft, the AFSOC routinely penetrates hostile enemy environments to carry out highly specialized reconnaissance, unconventional warfare, combat search and rescue, and humanitarian missions. Exhibiting superior skill, unmatched courage, and a fierce pride in their unit, the estimated 12,500 members of the Air Force Special Operations Command continue to strengthen the aerial dominance of the United States Air Force.

This pin salutes the courage and skill of the members of the Air Force Special Operations Command, who conduct daring missions in support of America’s defense. The front contains the official AFSOC emblem. Minted in a shiny gold-like finish, this coin is imbued with rich enamel accents on both sides.

This item measures 7/8 in (21mm) in size.
