Smokey Bear was introduced in 1944 as part of a national advertising campaign to prevent forest fires. After a few slogan changes, ”Only You Can Prevent Wildfires®” became the American icon’s recognizable phrase.
This bold hiking stick medallion features Ranger Industries’ rendition of the iconic Smokey Bear, serving as a reminder of the importance of wildfire prevention. Each medallion has a curved shape and comes with two brass nails to ensure it can be quickly and easily secured to any hiking staff. Minted in a zinc alloy, this commemorative medallion is given a brass-plating, antique finish.
