Description
The Mountain Warfare Training Center is a United States Marine Corps installation located in Pickel Meadows in Mono County, California, at 6,800 feet above sea level in the Toiyabe National Forest, 21 miles northwest of Bridgeport, California. The training center exists to train units in complex compartmented terrain.
Struck in a blackened finish, this coin depicts a Marine on skis on a harsh, snow-covered mountains terrain, rifle in-hand. The reverse proudly shows the Eagle, Globe and Anchor (EGA) with shiny gold-colored highlights and bold transparent enamel with 3D details.
Each coin measures 1.75 inches (44mm) in diameter.
