Description
Celebrate the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, the larger, longer-range evolution of the original Hornet, with a challenge coin honoring its role in modern naval aviation. The Super Hornet features a larger airframe and greater payload capacity, while the earlier F/A-18 Hornet is a smaller, distinct aircraft—not simply another name for the Super Hornet. A tribute to the pilots and crews behind both aircraft, this coin makes a memorable keepsake for service members, aviation enthusiasts, and collectors.
Minted in bronze, this coin contains an antique finish with detailed 3D relief depicting this iconic aircraft on the obverse, with enamel fills on the reverse showcasing the U.S. Naval and Marine Corps Aviation emblem.
Each measures 1.75 inch (44mm) in diameter.
