On September 5, 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14347, authorizing the Department of Defense (DoD) to use “Department of War” (DoW) as a secondary title. While not a statutory name change—which requires Congress—the order initiated an immediate rebrand in non-statutory documents, signage, and communications to reflect a stronger focus on warfighting.
This adhesive medallion honors the commitment of the individuals who serve at the Department of War and that of America’s global interests.
