Description
Apache Troop (A Troop) is a unit within the 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment (“Blackhawks”). Operating out of Fort Bliss, Texas, and attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, the troop periodically deploys to the US-Mexico border to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Their mission typically focuses on surveillance, reconnaissance, and operational support to enhance border security in the Southwest.
