Named in honor of America’s 33rd President, USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) is the eighth Nimitz-class carrier in the U.S. Navy fleet.

Stretching 1,092 feet in length and displacing 95,000 tons fully underway, the Harry S. Truman can travel at a top speed of 30 knots. Its massive 4.5.-acre flight deck supports the approximately 85 combat aircraft of U.S. Navy Air Wing 3 (CVW-3). Carrying a full complement of 6,000 officers and crew, the USS Harry S. Truman projects America’s maritime and aviation dominance throughout the world. Since being commissioned on July 25, 1998, the Harry S. This coin is dedicated to the outstanding courage and commitment of all those who serve aboard the USS Harry S. Truman. The obverse features a detailed rendering of the mighty aircraft carrier. The reverse bears the official ship emblem.

Minted in a brass alloy and brushed with an antique bronze finish, this coin was struck in deep relief using special “splash” dies for exceptional heft and depth of detail.

Each coin measures 1 3/4 inch (44mm) Round in diameter.
