Commissioned on 28 August 2004, the USS Bulkeley has a displacement of approximately 9,200 long tons and stretches some 509 feet in length. She also is the home for two SH-60 Sea Hawk helicopters.

This coin is minted in bronze, finished with an antique patina, and pays tribute to the USS Bulkeley, saluting the exceptional service of her crew. The obverse contains a starboard view of the USS Bulkeley cutting through the ocean, with the crest of the USS Bulkeley above. The reverse features the symbol of the Bulkeley’s crew, the Wolfpack, in reference to Navy Vice Admiral John Duncan Bulkeley’s biography named “Seawolf.”
