Stretching from Fort Pierce to the Florida Keys, Coast Guard Sector Miami is one of the Coast Guard’s busiest sectors, whose crews perform Search & Rescue, Public Education, Marine Environmental Protection, Public Affairs, and Maritime Homeland Security missions along one of America’s most challenging coastlines. The men and women of Coast Guard Sector Miami have numerous facilities and multiple types of equipment to assist in their protection of America’s ocean waters and navigable waterways. From cutters to ABS and trailerable aids to navigation boats, Sector Miami Coasties operate from four Coast Guard stations and two Aids to Navigation teams to protect our coasts and save lives. They are supported by six Auxiliary Flotillas.
Bearing Coast Guard vessels and tools of the trade in bright enamel, the obverse of the Coast Guard Sector Miami coin offers the service’s motto, “Semper Paratus.” The reverse features the Coast Guard emblem boldly minted in antique bronze. All who have served to protect this bustling American coastline can proudly carry this coin to represent their part in defending America’s homeland.
