Coast Guard crews across District Seven work tirelessly day in and day out to accomplish the vast arrays of missions and operations. The Seventh District encompasses an area of 1.8 million square miles and includes the largest concentration of cutters and aircraft in the Coast Guard. They are responsible for all Coast Guard missions throughout the Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands region. There vision is to be the model of field level services to enable effective mission execution. The moto is Honor, Respect, Devotion to Duty.
The mission of the Coast Guard Morale, Well-Being, and Recreation (MWR) Program is to uplift the spirits of the Coast Guard Family and be an essential element of Coast Guard readiness, retention, and resiliency through customer-owned and driven MWR programs and services.
BASE DETACHMENT MWR is located at US Coast Guard Borinquen Housing in Aguadilla, PR. Aguadilla is located on the west coast of the island of Puerto Rico. They have several departments inside the base and all kinds of programs and services that combine fun with self-improvement.
