Description
Already known as the cherry capital, in 2010 Traverse City, Michigan was recognized for its 70 years of support by receiving the designation of U.S. Coast Guard City. Home to a Coast Guard Air Station, Traverse City is the base of operations for many air based rescues on Lakes Michigan, Superior, and Huron.
