Description
The US Coast Guard Air Station Miami coin commemorates the Station’s aviation excellence since 1932.
Strategically located at the geographic front door to the Caribbean, through peace and war the Station has safe-guarded ports and borders, protected maritime environment, and has braved the worst imaginable sea and storm conditions in order to rescue those in peril. Bravery and discipline have been legendary.
The bright front colors match Miami’s subtropical climate. The US Coast Guard Crest is on the reverse. This fine challenge coin has a shiny gold finish.
Each coin measures 1 3/4 inch (44mm) in diameter.
