Description

One of nine combatant commands in the Department of Defense, the U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) is the only combatant command focused on the transformation of military capabilities.

Headquartered in Norfolk, Va., USJFCOM is made of more than 1.1 million active and reserve soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines all working toward the same mission of optimizing and fully integrating the combat resources of America’s military. To achieve this mission, USJFCOM operates and maintains four service components and eight subordinate activities, including personnel from each branch of the U.S. Military, as well as civil servants, contract employees, and consultants.

This coin salutes the outstanding contribution of the U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) and all who serve this force to the military power of the United States. The obverse features the official emblem of USJFCOM. The reverse features the seals of the five branches of the U.S. Military. Struck in a brass alloy and finished in bronze, this shield-shaped coin is imbued with full color enamel on both sides.

Minted in a brass alloy, this coin contains an antique bronze finish, and measures a 1 5/8 inch x 2 inch (40mm x 50mm) crest.
