The United States Coast Guard Station Miami Beach coin commemorates the dedicated crews who keep vigilant watch over the greater-Biscayne Bay area, braving arduous sea and weather conditions while conducting illegal drug and migrant interdictions on the high seas. A modern fleet of seven fast-response cutters provide marine traffic law enforcement while performing more than 300 Search and Rescue missions each year.
Enameled in bright colors to match Miami Beach’s subtropical climate, this USCG Station Miami Beach coin features a photo insert and a bright blue text ring that reads “Elite Mission—Elite Team.” The reverse, minted in shiny gold is the modern Coast Guard crest that is set off with soft matte paint.
