The obverse bears INSCOM’s official Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, which contains, at its center, a gold double-webbed key, symbolic of the command’s information control capabilities. In addition to the key, the design contains a lighting bolt and a torch, symbolizing global power and vigilance. The reverse bears the Distinctive Unit Insignia for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, which contains a double-webbed key set against the backdrop of a blue, grid-lined globe.
Minted in a brass alloy and finished in bronze, this coin is imbued with gold and blue enamel on both sides. Each coin comes packaged with a header card that describes the mission and history of the U.S. Army.
