Texans are a people that embrace freedom above all honoring that deep streak of independence that colors everything they do.
Minted from solid bronze, using special deep-relief coining dies, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail, this coin is dedicated to the pioneering spirit and indomitable will of the people of Texas. The obverse features the official seal of the State of Texas which depicts a five-pointed star encircled by olive and live oak branches, and the words “The State of Texas” in bold letters. The reverse displays a laurel wreath, the traditional symbol of victors and champions, along with a space available for engraving.
Each coin measures 1 3/4 inch (44mm) in diameter.
