Description

The Reserve Forces Policy Board is, by law, a federal advisory committee within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. As mandated by Congress, it serves as an independent adviser to provide advice and recommendations directly to the Secretary of Defense on strategies, policies, and practices designed to improve and enhance the capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness of the reserve components. The 20-member Board has a civilian chairman and includes a non-voting Military Executive and Senior Enlisted representative, a member or former member of each of the seven reserve components of the armed forces, and ten U.S. citizens with significant knowledge and experience in national security and reserve component matters.

The Coast Guard depends on the Reserve force to be always ready to mobilize with critical competencies in boat operations, contingency planning and response, expeditionary warfare, marine safety, port security, law enforcement and mission support.

Reservists obtain and maintain proficiency and readiness through a combination of training and augmentation. Commanders, commanding officers and officers-in-charge shall ensure Reservists under their authority receive appropriate training and augmentation opportunities and administrative support. By doing so, Reserve forces achieve mobilization readiness, while providing increased capacity to the local command. Individual Reservists shall obtain and maintain the skills that they are personally ready as required to mobilize.

This adhesive medallion honors the commitment of the Reserve Forces Board for keeping in order the service men and women of the U. S. Coast Guard Reveres as they are needed for the branch.

Minted in a brass alloy, this medallion contains rich enamel accents.

Peal the paper off the back and these medallions will permanently stick to any clean and hard surface.

We have seen them stuck on windows, mirrors, locker doors, and refrigerators. We do not recommend affixing adhesive medallions to the exterior of moving vehicles.

Each adhesive medallion measures 2 inches, (50mm) in diameter.

This coin features an out of date design and will not be remade after product is sold out.
