Depicted in brightly colored enamel on the obverse is the specialty insignia for the rate of Senior Chief Petty Officer. The reverse features the eagle emblem of the U.S. Navy centered between two fouled anchors, each crowned with a single star and depicted below the letters “USN.” The reverse also contains a space for engraving.
Minted in copper nickel and given antique finish, this coin is imbued with colorful enamel on both sides.
Each coin measures 1 3/4 inch (44mm) in diameter.
