This Naval Air Station Kingsville challenge coin salutes the dedication of the men and women who serve on this U.S. Naval Air Station located in Kingsville, Texas.
NAS Kingsville is part of Navy Region Southeast and is one of the premiere locations for naval jet aviation training in the world. Training at NAS Kingsville specializes in the operation of higher performance single engine aircraft. The base is home to Training Air Wing TWO with a total complement of approximately 300 officers, 200 enlisted, 350 civilian, and over 600 contract maintenance personnel.
This coin is dedicated to the military and civilian personnel who continue to proudly serve the country as part of Kaneohe Bay Base.
This coin is minted in a unique triangle shape that recreates the NSAS Kingsville insignia. The obverse is a bears the NAS Kingsville emblem. The reverse depicts an emblem of the US Navy, featuring an eagle grasping an anchor in its talons, encircled by chains and rope, symbolic of naval traditions dating back to the nation’s first ships.
Each coin measures 2 inch x 1 3/4 inch (50mm x 45mm) Triangular.
