Standing more than seven feet tall and weighing up to 1,200 pounds, the moose is the largest antlered animal in the world.
Possessing exceptionally long and powerful limbs, Moose can run at speeds of up to thirty-five miles per hour, bounding through the forest with their stiff-legged gait. They are also highly proficient swimmers and can wade through mountain streams and rivers at speeds of up to six miles per hour for extended periods of time. Protected by their coarse brown coat, they typically favor higher elevations and frequently migrate up and down mountain slopes in search of grazing areas. Easily recognizable, Moose sport an enormous pair of antlers that range in length from five to six feet.
