The coin’s obverse shows elite Marine Marksmen defending the USS Wasp from a boarding party during the War of 1812. The reverse shows the renowned Eagle, Globe, and Anchor symbol of the United States Marine Corp.

This coin is struck in a brass alloy and finished in antique bronze.
