As the largest military hospital outside of the continental United States, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center serves as the nearest treatment center for wounded soldiers coming from Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition, it serves military personnel stationed in Germany as well as their family members.
Minted from solid bronze, and imbued with bold colored enamel, this medallion is dedicated to the men and women who proudly give their service to protect us all. The obverse features the logo of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, including a map of Germany in vivid green. The reverse displays a silhouette of two soldiers against a flag backdrop.
