Combining personnel management, administrative, and logistics skills, Yeomen are the Coast Guard’s Human Resources specialists.
Yeomen are charged with the duty of informing and advising fellow Coast Guard personnel on incentive and entitlement programs, career advancement opportunities, retirement options, and benefits. Possessing a proven capacity for organization, task management, and attention to detail, they are entrusted with payroll certification and delivery, maintaining sensitive administrative files and records, and preparing all military travel orders. Supporting the needs of Coast Guard personnel throughout the world, Yeomen are vital to the success of America’s oldest maritime security force.
This coin pays tribute to the skilled service of all Yeomen, whose dedication and attention to detail enhances the strength of the Coast Guard operational team. The obverse features the rating badge worn by those all Coast Guard Yeoman. The reverse contains a space for engraving.
