Demonstrating admirable initiative and devotion to duty, Seaman Apprentices are dedicated to mastering their assigned duties and work diligently to advance the mission of the U.S. Coast Guard throughout the world.

Constantly sharpening their technical skills, they are assigned to cutters and shore stations across every major Coast Guard operation. Assisting in the management of administrative offices, shipboard health care facilities, and intelligence and information systems departments, these men and women strengthen the Coast Guard’s ability to meet its international responsibilities.
