Located on the original grounds of the Massachusetts National Guard that began training there in 1911, the base is now home to five major military commands. U.S. Coast Guard Base Cape Cod functions as the host tenant command, and is the single Coast Guard workforce management contact in the northeast.
As the only Coast Guard aviation site in the northeast, Air Station Cape Cod protects our shores and aids those on the water from New Jersey to the Canadian border. Ready to warn to the nation of sea-launched missile strikes along the eastern seaboard, Cape Cod Air Force Station and 6th Space Warning Squadron exists as the sole land-based radar site for the east coast.
Camp Edwards Army National Guard at JBCC – the largest northeast training location for the National Guard and Army Reserve – readies soldiers to defend the U.S. in combat overseas and on the home front. The Massachusetts Air National Guard 102nd Intelligence Wing plays its part in protecting America by training intrepid airmen for warfare and conducting vital intelligence across the globe.
All these armed forces come together at Joint Base Cape Cod to train, protect, and rescue when called upon.
