Description
Buffalo
Bison bison
An icon of the American West, the Buffalo is the largest land mammal in North America, weighing up to 2,000 pounds and measuring up to six feet tall at the shoulder.
Unmistakable in appearance, their massive dark heads feature short black horns that curve upward from the base. Despite their enormous size, Buffalo can reach speeds of up to thirty miles per hour at full gallop and are capable of traveling great distances, historically migrating up to 200 miles. Following the near extinction of the species in North America by the turn of the twentieth century, conservation efforts have ensured their survival. An estimated 65,000 Buffalo now make their homes in national parks and private reserves throughout the United States and Canada.
This solid brass coaster is dedicated the majestic buffalo. Framed by a black silicone top pad, the coin displayed inside features the buffalo grazing on the plains.
Each coaster measure 3.75-inch across.
