This coin is dedicated to the soldiers of the U.S. Army, who risk their lives each day to defend America’s honor and preserve the freedoms on which this nation was founded.
The obverse contains the unforgettable image of three New York City Firefighters raising the American Flag above the ruined landscape of ground zero. Inscribed above this scene are the words: “America Unites.” The reverse bears the seal of the United States Army.
