Headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, AFWA is composed of approximately 1,400 active duty, reserve, civilian and contract personnel. Minted in a brass alloy, this distinctive coin contains rich enamel accents on its obverse and reverse sides. Featured on the obverse is the seal of the Air Force Weather Agency, with an anemometer (an instrument for measuring wind speed) and a fleur-de-lis (representative of the AFWA’s origin in France during World War I). The reverse bears the official emblem of the United States Air Force.

Minted in a brass alloy, this coin is imbued with colorful enamel on both sides.
