You assist with myriad vital actions: serving as an information center for space-available travel, Tricare and base services; offering referrals for financial assistance and pay matters; counseling active-duty Airmen nearing retirement; and providing literature on retirement issues. Other necessary services include assistance with tax preparation and advice, judge advocate assistance, or coordination with base medical personnel. Retiree Activities offices are made up of volunteers from all services including surviving spouses.
This US Air Force Retiree Services coin proudly salutes all who served in the US Air Force, and all Volunteers who selflessly continue to serve our Air Force warriors. The obverse is emblazoned with the Retiree Activities Program colorful emblem, with the banner Still Serving. The reverse proudly displays the wing and star emblem of the new Air Force symbol is based on the familiar World War II “Hap” Arnold wings and represents the service’s heritage. The symbol’s modern design represents the Air Force’s present and future leading edge capabilities defending the United States.
Minted in a brass alloy and finished in antique bronze, the coin is imbued with rich enamel accents on both sides.
